BindCut

Privacy policy

BindCut has no account, no analytics, no advertising and collects nothing. Your plans stay on your iPhone. This page explains that in full, including the parts that are Apple's doing rather than ours.

For the BindCut iPhone app and this website. Effective 4 September 2026. Published by Coded Realities LLC, Arizona, United States. Contact: support@codedrealities.com.

The short version

  • No account and no sign-in. BindCut never asks who you are.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs.
  • The developer collects no personal data through the app.
  • Your plans are saved in the app's own storage on your device.
  • Nothing leaves the app unless you share or print it yourself.
  • This website has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.

What the app collects

Nothing. BindCut does not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share personal data. It has no account system, no login, no user identifier, no advertising identifier, no analytics or crash-reporting service, no advertising and no embedded third-party software development kits. It makes no network requests of any kind, and works fully in airplane mode.

The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking, no tracking domains and no collected data types. Its only required-reason API declarations cover reading file timestamps and available disk space, which it uses to manage its own local plan file.

The measurements you type are used to calculate your plan on the device and, if you save a plan, are written to the app's own local storage.

Where saved plans live

Saved plans are written to a single data file inside BindCut's own container on your iPhone, in the app's application support storage. Other apps cannot read it. There is no cloud copy, no sync between devices and no server-side backup held by us. Deleting BindCut deletes that file with the app.

What the app needs no permission for

BindCut does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data, calendars, Bluetooth or local network. It does not ask to track you across apps and websites.

What you choose to send out

Sharing always starts with you. When you export, share or print a cut card, BindCut hands that one document to the standard iOS share or print system, and you choose where it goes: a printer, the Files app, Messages, an email, another app, or nowhere. What you pick is governed by that destination's own privacy terms, and we receive no copy. If you send a cut card into a cloud service, that service's rules then apply to it.

Links on the app's help screen open this website in your browser. That is the only reason the app gives you to go online, and following those links is your choice.

Device backups, which are Apple's

If you have iCloud Backup switched on, or you back your iPhone up to a computer, iOS may include BindCut's stored data in that backup. This is a function of the operating system rather than something the app requests or controls, and we never receive or have access to your backups. Backup content is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy, and you control it through your iPhone's Settings. Restoring such a backup is also how saved plans could reappear after reinstalling the app.

If you email us

Our support address is support@codedrealities.com. Writing to us is voluntary, and whatever you include is information you have chosen to share. We will have your email address, your message and anything you attach.

We use it to answer you and to fix the problem you reported, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, use your address for marketing, or sell or share it. Support correspondence is handled through our ordinary business email provider, which processes and stores the message in order to deliver it, as any email provider must. We keep support email only as long as it is useful for support and product fixes, and you can ask us to delete your correspondence by replying and saying so.

Please do not send sensitive personal information. To help with a binding calculation we only ever need numbers.

This website

These pages are static HTML and CSS. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no embedded social media, no comment system and no scripts. No fonts or other files are fetched from other companies, so visiting this page does not disclose your visit to a third party.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, delivering a page means our hosting provider processes basic technical information from the request, such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string, in order to serve the page and protect the service against abuse. We do not add analytics to it, build profiles of visitors, or attempt to identify individual readers. That processing is subject to Cloudflare's own terms and privacy commitments as our hosting provider.

Purchases and Apple's reports

BindCut is a single upfront purchase, made with Apple under Apple's privacy policy. There are no in-app purchases and the app contains no purchasing code, so we never see your payment details.

Apple provides developers with aggregate, Apple-generated reports about things like downloads and sales. Those come from Apple's own systems, not from any code in the app, and they do not tell us who you are or what you did in the app.

Children

BindCut is a measuring tool for quilters and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anyone, of any age, so there is no children's data for us to hold.

Your rights

Privacy laws in various places give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. Since the app collects no personal data, we hold nothing about you to access, correct, export or delete. Your saved plans are yours, on your own device: you can edit, share or delete them without asking us. The one exception is support email you have sent us, which we will delete on request.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy will be updated here and its effective date changed. Material changes will be described plainly, and we will not retroactively broaden what a past version permitted.

This policy describes BindCut version 1.0 and was written against the app's source code, which contains no networking, analytics, tracking, advertising, purchasing or third-party SDK code, and stores saved plans in one local file as described above.
